LazyTortie.co is a product based business that offers embroidered apparel as well as custom jewelry to locals and community online. The brand was created prelaunch of the business to create a memorable and personal experience from the start.
The creative direction for each design element was chosen to express the simple, cozy, warm, homemade brand personality. The earthy tones and handdrawn type drive this storyline.
Each utilized format: business cards, shirt tags, packaging details, all have an element of the brand can be recognized and establish a meaningful first impression.
Kilisi Bodycare is a passion project for a retro-inspired beauty care business that focuses on the simple and beneficial ingredients to honor sustainability but with no shortage of personality.
With playfully bold visuals and emphasis on clean, natural ingredients on display, a community can easily form around the values of unique expression and mindful consumption.
Starting as an ecommerce business, Kilisi has the resources to make an impact online with room to grow into the shelf space of retailers with a fresh look beside the competitors.
Heidi on Third is a passion project for a local pottery studio aimed to build a community with local
middle aged to older women who desire to reconnect with their passion for creative hobbies, like Heidi.
The creative direction involves natural linework in the logo design and patterns, mature but warm, rustic shades that will provide a handcrafted, personable impression that will connect with the target audience.
Whether displayed on local flyers, social media ads, or right on the store front, the brand will convey a strong and consistent look to build brand awareness, and develop new relationships.
Cartees Cookies is a local artisanal cookie business established by a SAHM that serves her community at seasonal markets, holidays, and client events. After a few years into growing into a local staple, it was time to reflect that in her brand representation.
The creative direction focuses on playful, engaging colors that reflect the fun, light hearted personality that her community knows, with a presence of professionalism that represent her experience and skillset.
With a full brand identity that includes custom signage, packaging, and merch, Cartees can create a more impactful and professional perception no matter where the consumer interaction takes place.

Although, I had found that often times small businesses were not taken as seriously if they didnt appear as professional as their counterpart despite their work being more mindfully made. Unfortunately in these cases, their branding did not reflect their unique touch and level of care.
I know that worrying about a logo, marketing materials, packaging design, the website, etc. is not what a small business owner wants to spend time on. Luckily, I love it.
